Local food love August 16, 2014August 15, 2014 / Ann Dominguez Oh, August, how I love you! I love your garden: heavy harvest and stunning colors. This week in our CSA share: Sam’s pesto was seriously so good I almost licked it off the drawer. Share this:FacebookPinterestEmailPrintTwitterLike this:Like Loading... Related
Hi Annie Love reading your blog! I think we have the same CSA. I roasted the green beans and they were delicious. Happy to see your family doing well! LikeLike Reply
Oh, I didn’t think of roasting them! We had them sautéed with evoo and garlic, then grilled in packets, then raw, and this morning I blanched them to put in tonight’s shepherd pie and some to freeze (hoping we get more this week!) LikeLike Reply
We had peach salsa on fish (which Ryan grilled so well), http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/grilled-halibut-with-peach-pepper-salsa-10000001988577/, and this fun potato (onion) swiss chard dish. Loved cooking the egg right in it. http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/fingerling-potato-leek-hash-50400000111137/. Everything came from the CSA, including additional goodies I snuck into the dishes. Is that rhubarb or some sort of bitter green? That honeydew looks amazing!
