What we’re reading this week

We’re slowly making our way through Little Women.  I inadvertently skipped 120 pages in our history book and read several pages before I realized…

Me: Come on, guys, remember Queen Victoria? She married Prince Albert…

Them: That’s terrible!

Me: What do you mean?  They loved each other very much.

Them: She was only 12!

Rewind 40 years…

We’re still reading By the Shores of Silver LakeMary’s still blind.

We also finished reading Dead End in Norvelt last week, and we’re still talking about it, at almost every meal.  My ten year-old loved it best, but even SweetP followed and asked for more.  I’d say it’s a winner. You can find my review at If You Liked That

  1. We like Dead End here too – I never knew that history about Eleanor Roosevelt. We read it as part of our library family reading circle. Very cool.
