Last week’s adventure day to Colorado Springs was a huge hit. I knew it would be, when I put it on the calendar. I am so grateful for our friends. Originally I’d planned for us to hang out with them for most of the day, but it turned into a 12 hour adventure (including driving) and it still wasn’t long enough.
The kids played Life and Puerto Rico and house.
They devised complicated, new development games that need another day together, preferably soon.
We collected eggs and built dams and had shoe races in the creek.
Moms talked knitting and school and faith and life.

Next week we’re staying home all week, if possible, while my parents travel. We’re going to have a virtual adventure, preferably of the literary kind. Any suggestions?
