{phfr}: Garden Edition

Pretty: A volunteer Morning Glory that sprouted from the pile of last year’s dried vines.

Happy: This year we’ve harvested two fabulous heads of purple cauliflower, four good-sized eggplants, a million (give or take 100,000) grape tomoatoes, a bunch of big heirloom and yellow Roma tomatoes, TNTC strawberries and raspberries, and one perfectly ripe, delicious watermelon…

Funny: “When do you GO on red and STOP on green?”

Real: A fruit-fly catcher, baited with the tomato I left uncovered last night.  I have to say, I’m not very fond of fruit flies (can you see them on top there, trying to get to the tomato?  There are lots inside, too, trying to find the exit.)

  1. Wow, that is an impressive harvest! Especially the purple cauliflower. How exciting! I would think that the volunteer morning glory was a welcome addition as well!
