Among our many birthday festivities this month, we celebrated with the McFamily at the Art Museum. This has become quite a tradition, beginning right when we moved here from Chicago. We went to the Art Museum with them (though two of the children in these photos hadn’t yet been born) on a rainy day. The cafeteria was closed, so we walked through the rain across the park to the capitol building and ate lunch in the booths in the basement. All the state government workers walked through and admired my birthday crown and the Little Debbies we were munching.
This year we went in formalwear. That’s the dress I wore to my senior prom, and she got that one for her brother- and sister-in-law’s wedding. We didn’t spend a lot of time with the paintings this time, but a McDay at the Art Museum is always full of fun!
